The Green Room 42 will present Gregory Jacobs-Roseman’s “I Hate Cake: A Birthday Cabaret” on May 30th, 2026 at 9:30pm!

Another year older, award-winning musical theatre composer-lyricist Gregory Jacobs-Roseman unwraps brand new music at The Green Room 42 for a one-night-only birthday concert of world-premiere songs!

Join GJR and a lineup of sensational singers for an evening of new musical theatre — featuring songs from shows currently in development, cabaret standalones, resurrected trunk tunes, and possibly a premature Christmas number or two. With humor, heart, and the occasional existential spiral, Gregory’s songs explore love, friendship, midlife plot twists, and the audacity of hope. Come join the party for a joyful night of exciting new music!
